On Friday, 20 April, Australian child protection advocate Bravehearts held its annual ThankShoe awards ceremony at Gambaro’s Restaurant in Brisbane. Around 150 of Brisbane’s finest attended the event, hosted by Alex Bernard with a keynote address from Derryn Hinch and speeches by Bravehearts Founder and Executive Director Hetty Johnston and the newly elected State Member for Southport, Rob Molhoek MP. The event was an opportunity for Bravehearts to thank its valuable supporters.  

 
 
Claude`s Next Journey Begins
 
He is known affectionately as the ‘Mower Man’ and the next leg of his quest will see Claude Harvey push his customised cutter from Mt Isa to the Gold Coast to raise awareness for Bravehearts. The arduous 2260-kilometre journey will see him visit dozens of Queensland towns. Click here to find out when Claude will be passing through your town.

They have just completed the Bass Straight Paddle. Now, Bravehearts is proud to announce the next Bravehearts Adventure will be across Kokoda this August. Most people who set out to complete the trail take no less than 8 days. Participants will be challenged to complete the 96 km journey in 96 hours.

Our Ditto Show Reaches 200,000 Kids Nationwide

Bravehearts has celebrated helping over 200,000 children across Australia to keep safe via our personal safety program ’Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure’.  An external evaluator has suggested that the program has the potential to reduce child sexual assualt by up to 50%.  As a direct result of the Ditto Show, Bravehearts receives 4-6 phone calls a week to our team of psychologists and counselors concerning child sexual assault.
